The concept design stage phase (RIBA Stage C Design) is now complete and high level designs have been prepared for each building with outline sketch proposals.

The Strule site at Lisanelly, Omagh is an area of mature parkland and ecological significance. Sensitive design will also enhance the educational experience and general wellbeing of pupils and staff.

The River Strule is a prominent feature within the area and a central boulevard emulating the shape of the river forms the spine upon which the draft master plan for the site has been developed. Schools are organised around a central pedestrian route with generous communal squares and spaces.

The site will be reconnected to the town by extending the park at the south east tip of the site with a pedestrian link.

Parking, drop-off and servicing will be located at the edges of the campus to maintain the green and open character of the site. Walking times from car parks, to and from each building and between shared centres and core schools have been considered.
